The Street Surfer bus will be operating between 5.00 pm - 9.00pm on Friday & Saturday evenings and is an exciting way to be involved in the local community.

The Street Surfer Bus is an exciting initiative that is specifically targeted at young people and travels to locations where young people who are involved in risk taking behaviour congregate, and attempts to make contact with these young people.  The project aims to intervene in the lives of these young people by introducing them to the services and recreational opportunities that are available for young people, building effective relationships with them, and providing them with "on the spot" entertainment.

    The Street Surfer Bus is:

    · Effectively a mobile youth centre that allows staff to visit locations where young people are known to congregate.

    · A medium through which young people can build positive relationships with Police, youth workers and community volunteers.

    · Fitted out with computer game equipment, TV/DVD player, professional DJ sound system, tea & coffee making facilities, sport equipment, and a BBQ.

The Street Surfer is a community initiative that is lead by Werribee Police and Wyndham City Council.
