Youth Task Force
The Youth Task Force provides an opportunity for local young people to come together to socialise and to share ideas about how Wyndham can be improved as a home for young people.
Through their participation on the Task Force, young people are able to take action on issues that affect them and other young people within the municipality. Issues that may be addressed by the group include social isolation, mental health, sports, community arts, drug and alcohol abuse, safety, transport and entertainment.
In addition, the group also assists with the implementation of Council’s Youth Strategy 2006-2009 and can act in an advisory capacity to Council on youth related issues as required.
The group is open to any young person, aged 15 – 25 years, who lives, works or studies in Wyndham. There is no referral requirement and no additional membership criteria are applied.
Wyndham’s Youth Task Force currently meets every second Wednesday (4:30pm – 6:00pm) at the Youth Resource Centre.
