Western Region Health Centre provides support to individuals who have limited functionality due to a mental illness to increase opportunities, provide assistance to overcome social isolation and increase connections to the community.

To participate in our program, a formal clinical diagnosis is not required.  The service caters for participants aged 16 years or over. There are several group programs that participants can attend, including Men’s Group, Older Person’s Group and Young Persons Group.

The aim is to support participants in their recovery by providing:

    - Assistance in increasing day to day living skills (budgeting, using public transport)

    - Assistance finding alternative or more appropriate accommodation

    - Support in accessing clinical supports (GP’s, counsellors, psychologists)

    - Support in accessing employment, education or training opportunities

    - Assistance in increasing social networks and community involvement

    - Referral to other specialist services that could also support you on your recovery journey (drug

and alcohol services, housing or medical support)

Participants can be referred by a specialist or other organisation or can self-refer.
