    Kids Helpline is a counselling service for Australian children and young people aged between 5 and 25 years.  Kids Help Line can help young people under the age of 18. Contact Kids Help Line if you feel like you need someone to talk to, any time, day or night. You can ring them, talk to them online or through email too (see their website for more info).

    Lifeline’s 13 11 14 service is staffed by trained volunteer telephone counsellors who are ready to take calls 24-hour a day, any day of the week from anywhere in Australia.

    The Mental Health Advice Line is a telephone service established to provide Victorians with one source for expert advice, information and referral on any mental health issue.
    The service is not a crisis or counselling line or an emergency service. It operates like a ‘front door’ to Victoria’s Mental Health Services. It provides advice to Victorians of all ages and backgrounds across the spectrum of mental health issues, and helps callers link-up with appropriate services.
    The service is staffed by mental health professionals who provide expert mental health advice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays.

    The Cancer Council Helpline is a free, confidential telephone information and support service run by Cancer Councils in each state and territory.
    Anyone can call The Cancer Council Helpline - cancer patients, people living with cancer, their families, carers and friends, teachers, students and healthcare professionals.
    Specially trained staff are available to answer your questions about cancer and offer emotional or practical support.

    Counselling Online
    Counselling Online is a website where you can communicate with a "live" professional counsellor about an alcohol or drug related concern.
    This service is for anyone seeking help about their own drug use or the drug use of a family member, relative or friend.The service is free and available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, across Australia.

    The Maternal and Child Health Line is a 24-hour, 7 day a week telephone service available to families with children, from birth to school age, throughout Victoria.
    The Maternal and Child Health Line is staffed by qualified maternal and child health nurses who provide information, support and advice regarding child health, nutrition, breast feeding, maternal and family health and parenting.

    Parentline is a statewide telephone counselling, information and referral service for parents and carers with children from birth to eighteen years. It is a confidential and anonymous service that is the cost of a local telephone call throughout Victoria.

    SANE Australia 
    SANE Australia is an independent national charity helping people affected by mental illness through campaigning, education and research.

    This service can help you if you're worried about domestic violence in your family (i.e. one parent abusing another). They can provide support and ideas, info about how the law can help protect you, and they can tell you about places to stay to get away from domestic violence.

    The Resolve mediation service is an early intervention program designed to prevent youth homelessness. It is for young people 12-25 years and their families who live in Wyndham and Hobsons Bay.

    Gay & Lesbian Switchboard
    Gay and Lesbian Switchboard is a volunteer organisation which provides a free and confidential telephone counselling, referral and information service for the Victorian and Tasmanian gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (GLBTI) communities.  Our phones are staffed by trained volunteers who themselves are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. 

    Sexual Assault Crisis Line

    The Sexual Assault Crisis Line Victoria (SACL) is a state-wide, after-hours, confidential, telephone crisis counselling service for victim/survivors of both past and recent sexual assault.
    SACL operates between 5pm weeknights through to 9am the next day and throughout weekends and public holidays.

    24 hours a day, 7 days a week Australia wide.

    SES Victoria
    Call 132 500 from anywhere in Victoria for emergency SES assistance in a flood or storm. It is the same cost as a local call in Victoria (mobiles may be higher).
    SES volunteers are on call 24 hours a day to provide emergency assistance if you or your property is affected by a flood or storm.
